I have been talking with an environmental architect and she has given me some good ideas. I want to know what y'all think after you check out these links, especially Blair, our construction expert. Also, where do folks stand on locales and vocation?

I love the windows on this house.

I am reminded of the story of the 3 little pigs. Building a house of straw!
No, but truthfully these building methods are new to me for the most part, really interesting though. I have been into the idea of homes with as much open air/outside space as possible. To speak to shelter further, I heard one discussion on having a "commons" area and then individual smaller homes. sounds like a healthy way to live, eating and gathering in a central location.
Also, as for locale, I put my vote in for the south (specially Appalachia, but anywhere in the rural South). I feel like I have an obligation to my home region. it seems like there is more to do here everyday. I've spent much worry lately over the loss of local cultures to the emerging "world-wide" culture. i feel like this is an opportunity to emphasize local culture.
also i am not in unless i am promised lots of laughing and lots of music, as well as minimal computer/tv.
Blair, DONE
